Bentley Structural synchronizer launched for iPad, iPhone 11 november 2011

Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for sustaining infrastructure, today announced new software innovations that extend the benefits of its Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM) methodology to a broader range of stakeholders in integrated projects. These stakeholders include structural engineers working on site, construction and fabrication professionals, architects, mechanical engineers, and many others. Bentley’s new Structural Synchronizer View iWare App enhances information mobility for these practitioners by enabling them to interact with structural models anywhere on the iPad or iPhone (and soon, Android and Windows Phone mobile devices). iWare is provided for no charge to promote interoperability through plug-ins and apps, including Structural Synchronizer and Structural Dashboard, and now Structural Synchronizer View.

In addition, new ISM support through iWare announced today brings the users of Tekla Structures, RSTAB and RFEM analysis and design packages from Ingenieur-Software Dlubal GmbH, and Revit Structure products into integrated structural workflows. ISM maximizes the interoperability of structural information among specialized applications and building information modeling (BIM) software to synchronize information mobility for authors and consumers of a project’s structural information.

Huw Roberts, Bentley global marketing director, said, “All of the ISM innovations being announced today advance the ability to accomplish structural modeling, analysis, design, documentation, and detailing within synchronized and flexible workflows, further empowering intelligent structural design practices. The advantages of these practices include dynamic collaboration and increased data reuse information mobility among structural engineers, detailers, and fabricators. This results in the more efficient delivery of high-quality designs and well-coordinated and accurate documentation, along with increased project productivity, reduced errors, and improved quality control. Maintaining compatibility with architects and other disciplines extends these benefits across the entire project team. We’re particularly appreciative of the cooperation of Tekla Corporation and Ingenieur-Software Dlubal in helping us improve project quality for all through our iWare initiative.”
